Full transparency
What’s the catch?
Free apps usually cost you somewhere. Here is how Team Assist actually makes money, with the numbers.
There isn’t one. Team management is free because we don’t sell ads and we don’t sell your data. Here is exactly where the money comes from instead.
- Payment collection. When an organization collects dues or registration fees through Team Assist, we take 1% of each invoice, capped at $3. A $500 fee still costs the organization just $3. Free registration software does not make an organization’s own fees free, and it never has to collect a cent through us.
- Storage and streaming. Every organization gets 5 GiB of media storage free. Clubs that want to keep full-game video buy more, and families or teams that want live streams pay for the minutes they watch. We price those a little above what they cost us to run, and that margin pays for development and infrastructure.
That is the whole business model. No upgrade prompts, no per-team charges, and no feature held hostage until you pay.
